Mallorca is where the cycling world goes to ride. Every spring the island fills with pro teams and club riders chasing the same thing you’re after: smooth tarmac, empty roads, and climbs that have earned their place on every rider’s bucket list.
We base ourselves in Port de Pollença, a laid-back beach town tucked into the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana — the perfect launch pad for the island’s most legendary routes, from the cliff-top run out to Cap de Formentor to the switchbacked descent of Sa Calobra.
The week is built to make you fitter without breaking you. Big days in the mountains are balanced with easier spins through the flat, orchard-lined interior, so you can go deep on the climbs and still come back for more the next morning. Every day offers multiple group options, so whether you’re here to test your limits or soak up the scenery, you ride at the pace that’s right for you.
And then there’s everything off the bike. Long lunches, roadside espresso, and the quiet villages, hidden monasteries, and world-famous pastries you’ll roll past along the way. This is the Mediterranean at its best — hard riding, good food, and a week you’ll be talking about long after your tan lines fade.
We’ll shuttle you to our home base in Kortrijk, get everyone settled, and start assembling bikes.
No riding today — just logistics, introductions, and an easy evening to get your bearings.
Roll out along the Formentor peninsula, the most dramatic stretch of coastline on the island. The road pitches and dives past the Mirador des Colomer, then threads out to the lighthouse perched at the very tip, cliffs falling away to the sea on both sides.
Punchy, rolling climbs rather than one long grind — a perfect leg-opener with a postcard payoff at the turnaround.
Activity: Coastal out-and-back
Mileage: ~50 km / ~800 m climbing
Ride: Port de Pollença → Cap de Formentor lighthouse → return
The signature climb of Mallorca, and one of the most famous ascents in the world. You’ll descend the switchbacks all the way down to the cove at sea level — including the legendary Nus de sa Corbata, the tie-knot hairpin that loops back over itself — then turn around and climb every meter back out.
9.5 km at ~7%, relentless but rhythmic. Pace it patiently on the way up and let the views do the rest.
Ride: Coll dels Reis → descend to Cala de sa Calobra → climb back out
A short, sharp climb up to the hilltop hermitage above Inca, rising straight out of the central plain. It’s only a few kilometers, but the ramps bite — expect double-digit gradients near the top.
The reward is a 360° panorama across the whole island: the Tramuntana on one side, the flat Es Pla farmland rolling out on the other.
Ride: Inca → Ermita de Santa Magdalena → return
A steady, scenic Tramuntana climb from Caimari up toward the Lluc monastery — the gateway to the high mountains. Around 8 km at a manageable ~5%, winding up through pine and rock with the gradient never spiking on you.
This is a climb you can settle into and actually enjoy, rather than survive.
Ride: Caimari → Coll de sa Batalla → Lluc
An easier day through the flat agricultural heart of the island. Quiet farm lanes, market-town café stops, and open plains — a chance to spin the legs out, roll in a group, and soak up the last of Mallorca before heading home.
Flat, social, and unhurried.
Ride: Plains loop through Sa Pobla and the Es Pla

Port de Pollença is the ideal home base for a week on the bike: relaxed, walkable, and close to everything. The intimate beachside setting sits minutes from both the island’s toughest coastal climbs and its gentlest inland lanes, so every ride starts and ends at your door. In the evenings, wander the back streets, find a table by the water, and let the day’s efforts settle over a plate of fresh local seafood and a glass of Mallorcan wine.
