Rider Levels
At Avanti, our trips are designed for cyclists who train with intention and value shared effort. Rider levels help ensure that everyone has a great experience — on the road, at the table, and throughout the week.
Our levels reflect fitness, comfort on varied terrain, and consistency, not race results or ego. If you’re unsure where you fit, we’re happy to help.

How Avanti Handles Mixed Abilities
We design routes and days to keep the group together while respecting individual fitness:
- Short and long route options on most days
- Regroup points at summits and cafés
- Full SAG support on longer or more demanding days
- Optional rest or recovery days built into most trips
This allows riders of similar ability to ride together while ensuring everyone finishes the day feeling accomplished — not depleted.
Still Not Sure Where You Fit?
We’re happy to help you decide.
If you can answer “yes” to most of these, you’re likely a Level 3 or 4 rider:
- You ride consistently year-round
- You’re comfortable riding 3–5 hours
- You’ve completed long climbs or gravel days before
- You enjoy riding with others at a steady pace
